From the fourteenth to the nineteenth century the Palio di Asti race was run "in the long run", on the Contrada Maestra, during the patronal festivals of the month of May.
Today Corso Alfieri, main street of the city. It has an intense ruby red color. The perfume is particularly vinous and persistent. The flavor is dry, warm and full. It is found on all peach, but also on licorice and spices.
