Arneis DOCG - TERRE DEL CONTE ROERO - Cantine Povero

The Arneis vine, whose origin is lost in the mists of time, has been cultivated since ancient times in the hilly and sandy soils of the Roero.

Here the Tenuta Fratelli Povero owns the "Terre del Conte" vineyard from which it obtains all the product necessary for the realization of its Roero Arneis, a wine that is now counted among the great white wines in D.O.C.G. of the Italian wine reality.

This wine is straw white in color with greenish reflections. It has an intense and fresh aroma; dry and delicate flavor. Its dominant characteristics, more or less accentuated according to the vintage, are fresh hay, rennet apple, almond, pineapple. Served around 10 ° C, it is a good aperitif and goes well with lean appetizers, with cream and velvety soups, with fish dishes.

Andreas Larsson (Best Sommelier of the World) has chosen our Roero Arneis 2015 to be included in the Citè du Vin wine list (Bordeaux).

In the tasting that can be seen by clicking here, Larsson emphasizes the freshness and floral notes that open to the nose, immediately followed by notes of green apple, pear and lime, with a delicate minerality. The taste wine is clean, fresh and well made (without wood notes). Persistent on the palate, medium-bodied, suitable as an accompaniment to both aperitifs and fish dishes.
